Letting wolves run wild
like bonfire
lighting up November skies.
Safety nets for a six-pack
parading acrobat,
basket case and healthy nuts alike…

Foxes are in the hen yard
sweating in the bullpen:
a knucklehead a barn of dust
taxing labor when it’s
already taxing.

It’s all just a lie
to justify
riots and wrenches and ruins oh my!

A curtain calls a curfew
and bullet riddled walls:
throw caution to the winds,
clockworks through black windows
and time will tell its own.

… And Gods they fetch
while wolves they roam,
eyes of gold and greedy circles
surrounding homes
with closed doors and eyes wide shut
though none the wiser

It’s all just a lie
to justify
rallies and trenches and rats (oh my!)
holding wrenches wrecking streets!
Riots and wretches and ruins (oh my)!
